Instead of having to look at your wrist to see what time it is or checking your smartphone, here’s a watch that will allow you to feel what time it is. The Bradley has been created by Eone design studio in collaboration with product designers, engineers, and people who have lost their eyesight. It has been named after ex-US Naval officer Bradley Snyder, who lost his eyesight in an explosion in Afghanistan. It’s a simple, interesting design concept that uses two ball bearings connected with magnets to watch movements. The ball bearing on the face of the watch indicates minutes, while the one on the side indicates the hour. It features raised time markers, while the major markers are textured to make it easy to differentiate them. You can move the ball bearings around, but they will spring back to the position that indicates the current time. Other than that, it is a regular watch, and you can adjust the time with the help of the crown. The body of the watch is set in titanium, which makes it durable while giving it an elegant and clean look. For the watch bands, you can choose from stainless steel, fabric or leather. While The Bradley is undoubtedly a boon for those without eyesight, its use isn’t limited to them, as it also makes an interesting timepiece for people who can see and use regular watches.
